In the book there is a lot of suspence it's exiting!Whereas in the film this scene is short.Even if the shopkeeper isn't the same, the book is faithfull to the film.In the film Tim Burton must want to fight racism,it's an important notion but I prefer the book

I prefer reading this chapter than watching it because I like what some people said when Charlie finds his golden ticket like:"twenty bars a day I've been buying for weks and weeks".
I think that why strikes me the most is that two customers wanted to buy the ticket Charlie from only with 100 dollars. I think it isn't enough. I also think that if I have enough money I'll give him a milion dollars and perhap's more. I guess that the customers were very selfish. I also like the film because the shopkeeper is black and he's a very good character because he helped Charlie to leave. He is as black as he is sweet. I think it's against racism and I hate injustice so I like it.

Even if it was difficult for me to choose between the book and the film, I prefer the book. But the film is good too. In the film just like in the book, the shopkeeper is as fat as Augustus Gloop but, he's kinder than him. Moreover when two customers want to buy the golden ticket from charlie, the shopkeeper defends him and he encourages charlie to run back home ! The shopkeeper is black and fat but verry kind, so I think, it's a verry good lessons against racism.

Chapter 11 is a very important chapter because it's the chapter in which Charlie finds the Golden Ticket. In my mind, Roald Dahl's version is better than Tim Burton's ; because in the book, Charlie finds the Golden Ticket within the second bar whereas in the film, he finds it within the first bar. So, Roald Dahl makes suspense last, this is what I adore. I also think that the shopkeeper's physical appearance rather than his nature is interesting in the book. Unlike the book, the film doesn't show this interest.

Well, I loved the book version. Not because the shopkeeper was fat, uh ? But because it really, really showed how much Dahl can be funny. And it captured the excitation very well. I could see myself in this scene. Just like if I were Charlie. My heart bounced when I first read it. Wow, just wow. Charlie could have an heart attack !

I Prefer te book because it is more explanatory. It is fabulous that five lucky children are going to visited the fairy chocolate factory. It's umbelivable that chocolate factory didn't open it's doors during the last ten years. The other children had one hundred more
chance to won than Charlie because they are more richer than Charlie. For Grandpa Joe Mr Wonka is a magician.

In this chapter I prefer the book because they are more details about the characters and I can imagine them , for example the shopkeeper is black and very fat but he's very very kind when he protects Charlie ! Don't judge a book by is cover!!
