In the Chapter 8, I prefer the film, because we see more information about Violet than in the book.
Just like for Violet's mother.
In the film, we see, also, where Violet come from.
And in the film, what I find must ridiculous is that Violet's mother looks like insane.

In chapter 8 , I prefer the film they are more details about violet and her mother. I like violet's scene when she plays karate, it's very funny!!In this chapter what I find the most ridiculous about the film is Violet and her mother'sclothes

I prefer the film because there is more information about violet and her mother. Her mother admines her daughter,I can't uderstand that! What I find the most striking about violet it's her arogance. She is a real go-getter!
In the movie Violet is the spitting image of her mother! This scene is funny!

I prefer the film because it's funnier than the book. We see in the film Violet's mother is very crazy but in the book we don't know she is very stupid. In the book, we don't know where Violet lives but in the film we know that. I prefer the film because there are more details for example we see the looks of Violet's mother. What I find the most ridiculous is Violet's mother's looks. In the book we don't know anything about the physical appearance of Violet's mother.

About Mike Teavee I don't know what I prefer because I haven't seen the film.

In my opinion, the film is faithful to the book in chapter 8. So, I have no particular preference between book and film. But, I am convinced that what we can imagine by reading the book, has been imagined and directed very well by Tim Burton.

In chapter 8,Violet Beauregrade is arrogant. She looks like a man in the character. She speaks very loudly and very fast at reprters.
I don't like this girl because she has a manly temperament.
Mike Teavee is arrogant too because he speaks arrogantly and he says"fools" at reporters, and he watches TV everyday.I don't like this boy because he insults reprters.
I prefer the film because they are more details than in the book and it is very intersting.

In my opinion at the moment chapter eight,is the best chapter in the book because it is very funny. What I find the most ironical is the name of violet (Beauregarde).Violet's mother looks verry ridiculous with her pink jogging.Violet is the spitting image of her mother.I prefer the film in this chapter because violet's voice is arrogant and funny.

In chapter 8, I prefer the film because it's so funny and crazier than the book.
It's very funny about violet's mother. She looks like an alien!
The casting is great!!
The actors are great and Tim Burton too, of course!!
So, the film is...How can I say it?
AMAZING!!!!
In the novel, we can imagine,of course, but we can't imagine a crazier universe than Tim Burton's!!!

The first part :
In my opinion, the film is faithful to the book in chapter 8. So, I've no particular preference between book and film. But, I'm convinced that what we can imagine by reading the book, has been imagined and directed very well by Tim Burton.

The second part :
In my mind, the film is better than the book in Mike Teavee's chapter, chapter 8. I dislike the book, because Mike's parents aren't introduced by Roald Dahl in it. So, I find that Mike Teavee is only shown whereas I believe that Mike's relations with his parents are interesting. I prefer the film because Tim Burton unveils this.

Chapter 8 :
I prefer the film because in the scene Mike plays
video games, his hilarious when he shouts <> Whereas what strikes me most is the violence of Mike. Mike is addicted to weapons. In the film , Mike is a geek. In the end we saw that Grandma Gorgina is totally against, violence.

Mael-F a dit…

Mike Teavee is an arogant boy. He is nine years old. Unlike the other children, he doesn't love chocolate. He loves watching violent films and playing violent video games. When reporters went speak with him, he said agrilly:"I wish you wouldn't interrumpt."Mike teavee dosen't look verry happy, even if he has found the golden ticket

In the second part :
I prefer the book because we don't see the violence that is in the film. Because the words, bunch of gangsters, knuckle dusters and flashing the old stilletos are more descriptive. I prefer the book because the langage is richer than in the film.

Anonyme a dit…

I prefer the film because what I find the most stiking in the film is Mike's violence so it's funnier. Unlike in the book,in the film there aremike's parents. In both Mike is addict to violence. He looks like a geek and he is impolite. He his crazy about videogames in the film whereas in the book he is crazy about TV.
